It was so exciting to go see my oldest and all time favorite band Duran Duran!



All day at work I was so nervous that something would go wrong and I wouldn't get to go. Most of the time when I get excited to do things something or someone always messes it up! But not this time, except maybe for the last few guys at work who may have gotten a "Not so Good" Haircut because I just couldn't wait any longer to get home and leave for the concert.
When we finally got really to go and left for the concert I had so many flash backs of my friends and I singing and dancing to Duran Duran. Remembering how we said can't wait till we're all grown up and can go to concerts all by ourselves. Picturing my room with the cool bunk beds we had and half the room seperated into a "private" study area because my brother would always bug me when Iwas "trying" to do my homework and stuff.


Anyay, the concert was so great! We had such a good time dancing and singing the old songs and some of the new ones, but everyone really came for the OLD SONGS! They sang Hungry like the Wolf, Reflex, Girls on film (see video), Planet Earth and the encore song was RIO!!!!! WOO-Hoo so much fun.


The best part of the whole night was hanging out at the stage door waiting for them to come out to the buses. I am not sure if they ever did because it got really cold and we left early to go to the casino.I met some very nice people waiting outside.



People who were like me .. CRAZY lol.

Really people who just wanted to have the chance to act like you were 13 for a minute and not remember that your 35 and have responsiblities and that maybe just maybe...

Simon Lebon would come and steal you away from this life...... ;)

I am dreaming of course but thats what being 13 is all about!

Treasure Mart YAY!!


Finally I got a chance to go to the TREASURE MART!!!!!!!!

Woo-Hoo I love it.

Somewhere in Ann Arbor near Kerry Town is this 3 floor cute as ever thrift store.
They have everything and more. Each floor has something you have never seen or remember from your past.

The best part is everything is so cheap!

If you get the chance you have to check it out! It is the most fun you can have at a Thrift store.

Donations..

On April 26Andersonville Community Church hosted the 2nd Annual Community Baby Shower in Clarkston. This shower was for unwed mothers and teen mothers who were in need.
Since I make baby items, embroidered burp cloths and aprons it only seemed right to donate a few things to the girls. These are a few or the items I sent.

A New Apron!!

Saturday to my surprise a Package in my mailbox!

My flirty Apron swap partner sent me a package YAY!

She personalized the mailing box and even made cute matching fabric recipe cards!

My partner really out her self with her creative way of bringing everything together.

Even her comments on the thermometer ( yes my husband agreed with it I looked"hot" in my new apron hehe) to incorporating my favorite things polkadots and daises into a beautiful reversible apron!

WoW ! All I can say is I LOVE IT!!

Thanks so much I couldn't have asked for a better swap partner.

I have really enjoyed working on my apron and it was so much getting this beautiful one in the mail, you can tell that a lot of thought and care was put into every stitch.

This Flirty apron swap was a great idea.

Spring arrived yesterday and so did Bud's new baby Boy!

Announcing Christopher Michael:

He arrived EARLY!!! Thursday morning so early I had to go home from falling asleep in the hospital waiting and missed all the excitment. We went to meet him on Thursday night after work when mom,dad, and baby were well rested and ready for company.

Along with the baby came more snow, think mother nature fliped the wrong switch instead of sping she hit winter. :)

Today is my day off WOOO - HOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!

I spent the day running erron's paying bills and visiting MOM. Everywhere I went everyone was dressed in there Green St. Paddy's Day Best .

Except for me :(

Even Dave had on a Shamrock tie heee heee and green shirt.

When he saw me he asked "where is your green?" I replied " I am Irish and I don't have to wear green" 'wink' He didn't buy it. Until..... we saw uncle Gene at Meijers and he had the same answer.

Us Irish Folks gotta stick together :) *wink*

Fabric Shopping


Today we dropped my mother-in-law off at the bus station in Detroit, so she could return to Kentucky. Back to work for her, we were worried the latest snow storm would cancel her trip but it all went fine.

Since we were in the area I made a stop at Haberman Fabrics in Royal Oak Mi to search for apron fabric.
I found the cutest one for my swap partner I hope she likes it.

Here is a picture of the apron pattern I am going to use.








I was so excited, soon as I got home we started cutting out the patern and fabric.


Tomorrow we start sewing!

Let's Swap Some Aprons

Well...

I came across a neat blog that is having a apron swap!

Of course I joined!

Never have I done a swap but, hey why not.What a great way to meet new people that enjoy being creative like me.

I am so excited and can't wait to see who my partner is..
